Press Lounge Information

 

Dear CPhI Worldwide, ICSE and P-MEC 2008 Exhibitor,

 

PRESS LOUNGE & PRESS BRIEFINGS:

On behalf of CPhI Worldwide, ICSE & P-MEC organisers CMPi, we would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and make you aware of the press opportunities, booking requirements and schedule-to-date for the Press Lounge facility in Frankfurt. 

If you would like to get your press releases in front of the press or stage a formal Press Briefing during the show, 30 September – 2 October, this is the place to do it.

 

The Press Lounge is located in Hall 4, Level C, with prominent signage. Press Conferences will be held in Room 225 (“Consens”), directly accessed from the Press Lounge (unless organised privately and therefore not shown on the schedule).

 

PRESS BRIEFINGS - BOOKING:

  • The briefing schedule shows all free slots and bookings-to-date. To reserve a slot, please email your request with your preferred time slot, a brief description of your topic, and a contact name/email. This will be helpful to media covering the show – and who will receive copies and schedule updates from the Press Lounge team starting in early September.
  • Reservations will be made strictly in order of email request and then confirmed back to you. We will advise if a slot has become unavailable and work with you to reserve the “nearest available” time.

Deadline: All Press Briefing Slot Reservations must be made by Wednesday 10th September 2008

 

PRESS BRIEFINGS – DELIVERY:

  • Briefing slots are 35 minutes maximum, including Q&A time, and must be held in the Press Briefing Room (Room 225). Please note the 5-minute changeover time between each session – and aim to arrive so as to use this “setup” break to ensure an on-time start to your Briefing.
 
  • A PowerPoint projector, screen and laptop will be all set – simply bring your presentation on a memory stick, together with handouts (if appropriate).

 

NOTE: In order to keep to the timetable, and for the convenience of following presenters, customization of the Press Briefing Room layout and facilities for individual presentations will not be permitted.

  • Although we will circulate the Schedule to all registered media heading for CPhI Worldwide, ICSE & P-MEC, we anticipate that you will wish to issue your own invitations to specific contacts.

 

PRESS LOUNGE – ACCESS:

 

  • Editors and journalists need to register and collect their badges on show arrival, and before accessing the Press Lounge.
  • Press facilities at CPhI are for working journalists. Please be aware that use of the Press Lounge/Briefing Room and their facilities will be restricted to registered and accredited editorial personnel and exhibitors hosting formal Press Briefings/editorial meetings or placing press material in the Lounge.
  • Editors using the Press Lounge will be asked to sign-in and to show their business card/editorial accreditation.
  •  Press Registration is not available for publishing and advertising personnel. In addition to Press Accreditation: all on-site filming/interviews @ CPhI Worldwide 2008 by broadcast media require formal permission in advance from CMPi. Please understand that no exceptions will be permitted.

 

CENTRAL MEDIA OUTREACH:

  • The Press Lounge serves as the central office on the show floor for representatives of industry trade publications. Media professionals are able to conduct informal interviews, pick up the latest exhibitor news releases and discuss news leads.
  • You should plan to bring both printed and electronic copies of your latest news releases, media kits, or new product brochures to the Press Lounge in Hall 4C for on-site distribution. Please bring no more than 25 printed copies.
